Seattle ’08

Seattle for sure, was yet another city that surprised me. The amounts of activities, especially if you’re an outdoorsy types of person is literally endless. There are so many natural parks and reserves around the area, it’s impossible to run out of outdoor adventures.

Week long trip to Taiwan

三孤將

Ahh, finally an update. Sorry it took so long. Things have been pretty hectic thus far, and has prevented me from having the time to sit down and go through all the photos I’ve took, and really, without photos, there really isn’t any point in talking about my trip to Taiwan. Let’s get started, shall we?

Wong Fu & APAHM at Boston College

My extended stay at Boston was greeted with just as many adventure, with the exception that it was all on the campus of Boston College.

CSA with Wong Fu

First, Wong Fu Productions came to visit the Boston College campus. Pictured here is Wong Fu Productions with the Chinese Student Association of Boston College, who coordinated with Wong Fu for a campus tour. I personally enjoyed the event, first, I got to meet tons of new people that goes to Boston College, and they are pretty fun people. Second, Wong Fu guys are actually quite down to earth, and pretty fun to hang out with. Ted an I had a conversation about Nikon and Canon dSLRs, and Brian, Wes’ brother and I had some conversation about Origami and the MIT campus. Third, it was pretty cool to get some insight with Wong Fu about being Asian American film makers, it was quite an interesting event, not to mention the exclusive dinner I got to go to at Eagle’s Deli, which by the way, has the meanest burger ever (Appropriately titled the “Godzilla Burger”):

Shenanigans

CCS IT Dinner

Last Friday the Student I.T. Help Desk and Help Centre kids went to an end year dinner. Originally it was suppose to be at Shakespeare’s, but being a Friday evening, the place was packed, so everyone decided to regroup somewhere closer to home — The Brass Taps. It was a good time had by all, and as one of my co-worker puts it: This was a night of shenanigans!

The food was quite amazing, I’ve never had the “Hillbilly Burger” before (a weird name for a burger if I’ve ever heard one), but I think I felt my arteries clog up when I digested the huge thing. Kudos to whoever thought up of food names like the “Johnston Green Salad“, or “MacKinnon Mandarin Wrap” — Absolutely cheesy, but effective branding nevertheless.

Speaking of shenanigans, my crazy week begins now: Monday Exam, Tuesday Presentation, and Thursday Exam and Paper. Bad news is, the prospect of me making past Tuesday is a tad slim, so feel free to send some word of encouragement this way.

See you at the end of the tunnel.
