Mindless update 2

Alright, I can go for another few entries displaying photos and make semi-smart and witty commentaries about the rest of my adventures in Taiwan and Hong Kong. But I won’t. Instead, you can check out the rest of the Taiwan photos here, and the Hong Kong set here. Hong Kong was particularly interesting, since it’s been a while since I’ve been to Hong Kong, and I don’t even remember most of my adventure the first time I went more than ten years ago. It’s mostly touristy stuff, and I hope the next time I visit Hong Kong I’ll be able to explore areas that features more local than tourist. How do you tell you’re in a touristy area? Just look around and count the number of Nikon and Canon dSLRs clickin’ away, if you see more than ten, chances are, you are in a heavy touristy area. I thought I was in camera heaven when I visited Victoria Peak and the Tian Tan Buddha.

Things have been going pretty smoothly since I got back. Research is giving me a bit of a headache though. I knew it was hard, but I didn’t know it was going to be this challenging, and I definitely realized that I need to put more time in if I want to get out alive at the end of July.

Work has been pretty sweet. The library is pretty much a ghost town now that it’s the summer, working at the help center wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and Academic Services is crazy fun. I think I will definitely miss working for the University comes the end of my four years run at Guelph. But alas, I guess it’s time to “grow-up” and start getting a “real” job, that is, if I can find one.

Summer is well underway. I’ve already had the annual spring BBQ with a bunch of friend, which, surprisingly, I have no photos of (anyone want to send them my way?), then there was the Wii night, which was fantastically fun. Mario Cart was sorta disappointing, I hate playing with the damn wheel, maybe I just need to get use to it.

Other then that, things has been pretty chill. I’m looking forward to the rest of the summer, especially with Disney at the end of it, it shall be grand.

On a completely different note, I was watching the Incredible Hulk trailer, and I can’t stop wondering how the Hulk’s pants stay on when everything else shred to pieces. What brand is this pair of Jeans? Must be a pretty expensive piece of clothing given its stretch resistant property.

I know, I know, it’s a movie, where physics don’t really apply.
