“O-days” is now the new O-week
Despite many outcries, heated debate, and the general discontent of the student body, the Senate still went ahead and put the first day of class on the Thursday of the new o-week as mentioned previously.
The proposal passed 53-49, and well, let’s see what happens to good o’l Guelph when no one wants to volunteer for O-week, when traffic jams up like crazy on the weekend before O-week, and just about everyone look dreaded, tired, and disgusted on that particular Thursday in September of 2008.
I still can’t believe that my very own university in which I trusted would go ahead and ignore the outcries of the student body. Nevertheless, I thank the student Senates that worked very hard in coming up with defenses and arguments for the safeguard of the current schedule, too bad it was in vain.
